Luyen and Liang - Berkeley city Club

It has been quite a journey but finally we are thrill to get this blog started and YES! this is our first post! And we have so much we want to share with you. We’ll start with one of favorite and fabulous wedding from 2011, Liang & Luyen’s wedding. The couple met during their first year at UC Berkeley. This wedding has tons of details and it was overwelcoming for the wedding party and their guests. Fortunately for us, the Bride gave us the 110% freedom to design her wedding (given her colors and budget). We love when our Brides tell us to..ran with it.

Liang & Luyen’s color motif was yellow, white, and gray. The ceremony was at Berkeley rose garden and we created a manazita arch with blend in beautifully with the trees and roses from the garden. The arch was filled with yellow orchids and gave a nice “pop” for the ceremony. The reception was held at Berkeley City Club. For the reception, we use thousands blooms of orchids, roses, hydrangeas, and Billy balls. The grand head table was seated both side and we had tall, dramatic centerpieces bursting out with orchids and roses creating a stunning focal point of the reception. At the base of the vases we accent with small arrangements and variety height candle holders. Especially with floating candles add so much ambient to the evening. Crystals and brooches are incorporate through the décor. The Bride and Bridesmaids wrapped each votive candle with lace. YES!! The wedding party wrapped a couple hundred laces votive and it was a fabulous details!!! Gold chiavari chairs provided by Shiela at Lush Rentals http://www.lusheventrentals.com complete our reception décor beautifully and Sheila is always wonderful to work with.

We were double fortunate to be their wedding photographers as well and were able to document this sweetest couple’s wedding from beginning to the end.
