Tiffany + Hong - Part I
We really love it when brides/grooms open up and share their stories with us. Tiffany and Hong met through very persistent and well-meaning mutual friends, and we're so glad they did! Tiffany shared their proposal in her own words: "Hong tried multiple times on our anniversary to propose but I inadvertently kept messing up his plans. We were in Las Vegas and had just finished a really great dinner at an intimate steakhouse. He wanted to stay for dessert (and propose), but I wanted to take a walk after such a big meal. He then asked me to take a ride on the gondolas outside of the Venetian, but I said it was too late. Then in front of the Bellagio fountains, we were among a large crowd so he decided against it. Finally, he asked to to sit on a bench outside and take in the views. He told me had something to ask and popped the question!"
We also love it when brides have a clear vision for their big day. Tiffany hared with us: "I wanted it to be classy and elegant but fun. I wanted our guests to have a phenomenal time and for everyone to enjoy themselves as they celebrated with us. I think it was really important to both of us that everyone had a great experience (that's why we brought in the lion dance troupe, photo booth, cigar bar, and gelato bar). In terms of aesthetics, I love the color pink but I didn't want it to look like a baby shower. So we added cremes, dark browns, and grays. This way, we could also keep to an 'ethereal' / natural look and play up the beauty of the venue."
After the wedding when we caught up with Tiffany, we asked what her favorite wedding moments were: "Hong's surprise singing performance. I had no idea that he would do that! Aside from that, there was a really great moment when Hong and I were slow dancing to Sade's 'By Your Side' and our family/friends held hands in a circle around us. I really felt the love."
What a sweet couple and sweet wedding. Here, our 'Circle of Love' arch showcased lovely summer blooms including garden roses, peonies, dahlias, and tulips. We added lots of whispy layers of greenery to add texture and dimension. The bouquets and centerpieces featured the same blooms and foliage with the addition of geranium leaves, hellebores, and even an occasional stem of blush rice flower. All of these florals perfectly complemented Fine Linen Creation's gorgeous linens and drapes to create a stunning wedding.
