Julie + Norm - Private Estate Wedding

When your backyard is this gorgeous, of course you would use it as your wedding venue. Hold on tight - this is one celebration you don't want to miss. 

Julie and Norm live here in the East Bay, and this gorgeous estate served as the backdrop for their stunning wedding. With the help of a team of professionals, Julie and Norm had a beautiful, elegant, but also relaxed and fun wedding. The ceremony began on the western edge of the garden. We were really inspired by a colorful and natural palette that reflected the garden - natural and colorful with brambles of raspberries, peachy dahlias, vines of hops, and bits of thistle. 

After the ceremony, guests mingled around the pool area for drinks, bites, and photo opps with the bride and groom. I absolutely loved how well it flowed. Our friends over at Smitten Kiss were able to create designated spaces in the large backyard for the different portions and events of the wedding, making the space cozy and really intimate. In addition to the ceremony and dining areas, there was a space for the photobooth, an area for a blinded wine tasting by the rows of grapevines, space to enjoy the live mariachi band. It was all so beautiful.

There were a ton of beautiful details in the dining area. From the string lights over the long tables, to the hanging lanterns in the trees. It was a magical setting for the guests. Here we continued with a colorful palette of peaches and blues and greens, using more dahlias, roses, tulips, lavender and greens with a lot of fun texture, again a nod to the beautiful surrounding environment. We placed clusters of flowers in glass jars and arranged several jars down the length of each table. The casual yet elegant look paired beautifully with the burlap table runner, but was so elegant once the place settings, glassware and silverware were all laid down. 

This was an absolutely beautiful wedding, and we could not be more honored to be part of Julie and Norm's big day. A huge thanks to all our industry partners for making it happen.
